Foaming at the Mouth - Edition 13

July 1, 2025

Blogs about Plastilite Corporation and our family of brands: Integritemp, RebelFIN, and REfoam.

Last month I introduced the products and services Integritemp offers that protect valuable life-saving pharmaceutical and biological materials. This month, let’s discuss the package design stage.

There are two paths to design proposals for cold chain package projects:

Path #1: offer the physical package design for approval prior to pre-qualifying performance testing.

- This is best for clients with strict limitations on package size, weight, or other physical properties.

- Next, our team revises the physical components and design if needed.

- Then, once the design is approved, we move on to qualifying performance testing.

Path #2: offer the physical package design along with pre-qualifying performance test results showing success at meeting proper temperature control.

- This is best for clients wanting cold chain packaging proven to protect their pharma/bio product with no physical property limitations.

- Next, the ball is in the client’s court regarding approval of the design and integration into their cold chain shipping protocol.

What happens after that??  In next month’s blog, we will delve into testing/performance documentation supplied by Integritemp and/or third party testing service suppliers.

Please watch for next month’s blog where I will continue our conversation with more facts, figures, and good news about EPS foam!
